February 23, 2026, A9 Unterleutasch Cross-Country Ski Trail

A wonderful and easy circular cross-country ski trail in the northern part of the Seefeld-Leutash cross-country skiing area, essentially following the Leutascher Ache river. Length: 13.7 km. Connections to the A14 motorway (to the Bärenwirt inn), and the A8 and A7 motorways to the south. Several refreshment stops such as the Gasthaus zur Brücke or the Gasthaus zur Mühle inn.

A real eye-catcher on cross-country ski trail A9 in the northern part of the Seefeld-Leutasch trail network. The parish church in Unterleutasch was only built in the 19th century. Before that time, Unterleutasch belonged to the parish of Mittenwald (a neighboring Bavarian municipality). Only after several petitions did the authorities grant permission for the church's construction, and so the Unterleutasch church was built in 1828 and 1829 as a late-classical building. https://www.pfarren-leutasch.at/kirchen-und-kapellen/pfarrkirche-unterleutasch/

Quite stable connection between the parking lot and the riverside path.

Here, you'll find easier routes than at the Great Wall of China across the street. There's a handy topo map available at the parking lot.

Easy to reach by bike, with plenty of space at the base of the wall and even a place to sit – it's actually the perfect climbing garden by fair means. The view of the Great Wall of China opposite is a bonus.

The "Flämenwandl" family climbing area is located near the banks of the Leutascher Ache River. In an idyllic setting, climbing routes ranging in difficulty from 3 to 6b+ can be tackled here. Thanks to the easy routes, the area is also ideal for providing a successful climbing experience for young climbers.

A great bridge, suspended from steel cables. If you don't have any headaches, you can even swing and seesaw.
