I went on April 12, 26, starting from Nevache (camping parking) and taking the Lucianina trail. Shortly after the second bridge, a recent avalanche had brought down numerous trees. Due to non-bearing snowdrifts and debris, I recommend crossing to the left bank (carriageway) using one of the two wooden bridges encountered after the dam.

Wonderful, one of the most beautiful routes I've ever seen. The gradient is well distributed throughout the route and isn't too tiring. The view from the three crosses is breathtaking.

Not only one cross greets the (mountain) hiker here, but a group of three crosses - as the name "Poggio TRE CROCI" suggests - we find on this mountain. A wayside cross or summit cross commemorates Jesus Christ, namely the middle one. The other two are not here without reason: According to biblical tradition, Jesus Christ was not condemned to death by crucifixion alone, but together with two criminals and executed (see for example the evangelist Luke 22:33): + "They came to the place called the Place of the Skull, and there they crucified him and the criminals, one on his right and the other on his left." +

On the way up to Colle de la Rho we come across this old military barracks almost embedded in the rock. A plain where you can rest from the hard climb to the hill.

The Colle della Rho (in Italian) or Col de la Roue (in French) is a mountain pass at 2,541 meters (8,337 ft), on the border between the Cerces massif and the Cottian Alps. The Colle della Rho, during ancient times, was one of the most frequented connections between the Susa valley and Maurienne; Some Roman coins have been found near it.

Yes, challenging hikes are available. The ascent to Punta Quattro Sorelle itself, reaching 2,698 meters, can be demanding, especially in its latter stages due to loose terrain and steep inclines, though fixed ropes are present to assist hikers. The area's environment is often compared to the Dolomites for its striking calcareous peaks.
The area is rich in history, particularly with military fortifications. You can visit the Pian dei Morti Barracks, an ancient structure built under a rocky mass. Other remnants include military batteries and defensive structures from before World War II, such as those near Poggio Tre Croci and two observatories on Punta Quattro Sorelle dating back to 1937. The 19th-century military works of Ricovero Rossero and Ricovero Turiccia are also found along the old military road.
Yes, for families, the Rose Walk (Les Arnauds – Borgovecchio) is an excellent option. This path connects the hamlets of Borgovecchio to Les Arnauds and features wooden sculptures created by international artists, making it an engaging walk for all ages.
