Hempstead Lake is a beautiful lake surrounded by scenic parkland. Covering over 100 acres, it’s a great spot for fishing, boating, and picnicking. A nice trail encircles the lake, making it perfect for a run.

Stepping Stone is a lovely park to take a break off the bike. The park has water, restrooms and even public wifi to plan your next stop. The views out to the coast are fantastic too.

You have St. John's Upper and Lower Ponds, but you can only cycle past Upper Pond. This is a nice cycle section too; you are right next to this tree-lined lake with great views. If you want to stop a while and maybe have a closer look, you can go onto the dam head, which is just off the road on the northern end.
