The Mühlenau originates on Uwe-Seeler-Allee at the Volksparkstadion. From there, it flows to Farnhornstieg, where it receives the Stadionstraße ditch and the Schießplatzgraben ditch through a retention basin. At Fangdieckstraße, it receives the Fangdiekgraben. It passes under Lampéstraße, the street Möhlenort, and the Furtweg. Shortly before Kieler Straße, it receives the Jaarsmoorgraben. The Mühlenau continues through the Eidelstedter Feldmark, where it receives the Düngelau through a retention basin. Afterwards, it passes under the A7 motorway, receives further inflow from the Kollenhofgraben, and flows into the Kollau.

Urban and undeground style area. It is complicated to go there just to enjoy the graffittis or the train railways but if you go close to it (stadium, concert...) it is worth to have a walk in the area
