The Sint-Veerleplein is really very busy. Firstly, you can visit the impressive Gravensteen and discover what Ghent looked like in the Middle Ages. But the monument can also simply be admired from one of the terraces of the cozy restaurants and pubs on the square. The Sint-Veerleplein is surrounded by water: behind the buildings flow the Lieve and the Leie. The square is also a good starting point for exploring the cozy Kraanlei and the old Patershol district. Do you urgently need a toilet? No problem, there is a public toilet at the Sint-Veerleplein.
