    Hiking

Cliff Ridge Wood is an area of ancient woodland with oak and ash trees that are several hundred years old. Running through it are the remains of a railway line, which once transported the stone mined from Cliff Ridge quarry. The woodland, like nearby Newton Wood, is now managed by the National Trust.
