You will gain about 992 feet (302 metres) in elevation, with the entire route taking approximately 3 hours and 38 minutes to complete. A highlight is the iconic Captain Cook's Monument, from where you can spot peaks like Ingleby Bank and Roseberry Topping, often called "Yorkshire's Matterhorn." You will experience a blend of gravel paths, natural surfaces, and quiet roads, sometimes walking through thick heather. This trail offers a sense of blissful silence and sweeping views, especially during autumn when the landscape displays a variety of green, orange, and golden brown shades.
