'Dead tree moor' is a collection of dead oak trees in a flooded part of Hursthill Inclosure. It’s an unusual and slightly eerie sight.

This area is a failed Forestry England oak plantation. Originally marshy ground, it was drained with ditches and planted. The trees grew successfully until the area stopped being maintained and consequently regularly flooded. My friends call this 'Shrek Wood'.
