If you look closely you'll see Swindon Folly perched atop a hill in the distance. It's a striking monument built in the early 19th century as a decorative feature to complement the natural landscape.

This grassy path along Windmill Trail is a beautiful place to walk with it's tree-lined avenue and sweeping views across fields of farmland. There is a great pub called the Anglesy Arms a stone's throw away on Stane Street if you fancy a refreshment.

The stretch of track coming across from Warehead Farm to go up to Halnaker Hill and the Windmill is such a beautiful stretch. For the length of a field, you walk through a gorgeous, nearly continuous archway of trees. It is a super pretty section, with the trees caressing each other across the track. Once you head up to the Windmill, that stretch is pretty too, more open but really nice, lush green countryside.
