The gate was erected in the 11th century. Between 1873 and 1884 it was dismantled and in 1935 it was rebuilt from its individual parts in the forest outside the Alhambra. The gate was also called "Arco de las Orejas" (the arch of the ears). Here the severed body parts of criminals were put on display.

The Puerta de las Granadas (Gate of the Grenadiers) is a historic gate in Granada, located on the Cuesta de Gomérez. This gate was built in the 16th century during the reign of Emperor Charles V and is an example of Renaissance architecture. The gate was designed by Pedro Machuca and is one of the main entrances to the Alhambra. The gate is built of quarried stone and has a beautiful pediment with three large, half-broken grenades, from which the gate gets its name. The pediment also contains the coat of arms of Emperor Charles V and figures symbolizing peace and prosperity

The Palacio de los Córdova is a historic building in Granada, Spain. It was originally built between 1530 and 1592 and moved to its current location on the Cuesta del Chapiz in 1960.
