The “Bunner Masuren” nature reserve is crossed by the Old Bunner Mühlenbach. It is home to habitats worth protecting, such as alder forests, small sedge swamps, wet fallow land and wet grassland. The area is part of the original Hasetaluen.

Bunnen water level measurement station. The water level of the Große Hase is measured there. The level can be read on site on a scale on the Hasedeich and online at the Lower Saxony State Office for Water Management, Coastal and Nature Conservation.

The crossing is called "Böener Karussell" by the people of Löningen. There are 5 paths, in the past there were even 6 paths. You can get dizzy there. Luckily a good spirit put up both a bench and signposts - so nothing can happen anymore ;-)

A quiet section along the Hase, very relaxing. On the "land side" fields, pastures and wooded areas alternate.

Such a signpost is a great invention. It shows you where to go to reach your goal - without having to open an account. It's also been around a lot longer than smartphones and navigation apps, and it uses a lot less power to run...
