The Gevelsberg City Forest nature reserve with an area of 501.33 hectares is located in the area of the cities of Gevelsberg and Ennepetal in North Rhine-Westphalia. The nature reserve (NSG) was designated in 1999 by the district council of the Ennepe-Ruhr district with the landscape plan for the Ennepetal / Gevelsberg / Schwelm area of the Ennepe-Ruhr district. It consists of two sub-areas. The NSG extends to the city limits in the northeast. In the city of Hagen, the Aske nature reserve borders directly. Both NSGs belong to the Gevelsberg City Forest FFH area. The Kluterthöhle and Bismarckhöhle nature reserve is located near the southwest end of the NSG. Very beautiful hiking trails and great nature.
