Lough Cullin sounds like a really peaceful and ecologically important place, especially with its connection to Lough Conn and the River Moy system. I didn’t realize how directly it links freshwater habitats to the Atlantic—makes it even more interesting.https://www.metlifedentalproviders.com

Thought to date from the monastery founded by St Cronan Mochua in the early part of the 7th century, Balla Round Tower is a conspicuous sight in the village of Balla. Its red and brown sandstone structure lies near the start of the route of the Croagh Patrick Heritage Trail, a 61-kilometre (38-mi) long-distance route that ends at the foot of Croagh Patrick, a revered holy mountain.

Church Village is a tiny hamlet next to the Yellow River. It is well placed on the Larganmore Loop as a place to rest, but don't expect to find much here. The views of the river and churchyard are very pretty though.

If you need to rest, there is a good bench here in this parking area next to River Glore. Not only this, there is actually a path down to the river here, which is not often the case with this particular river, so do use that opportunity.

Here in the Wetlands Amenity Park is this impressive sculpture by Sally McKenna. This was unveiled in 2003. The five-part sculpture tells a folk story from Kiltimagh. The salmon here is made from sheet steel and copper and encrusted with over 2500 old Irish coins

Great road to cycle in awsome landscape. I was there with my Specialized touring bike in 1998 - the road has been tarred by now. There were no digital cameras invented yet at that time - these photos came out of my photo album. I made two or three photos in a row and glued them next to each other, overlapping at the corners, into the album - that is the break between them.
