A nice little place where we were particularly impressed by the small botanical garden behind the church! 😍👍 Free entry (there's a donation box inside the building), and you can support the project by purchasing the regional products on offer. There are lots of labeled plants, ducks, chickens, turtles, etc. Animal feed is available in the shop/café for €1. Delicious cakes and ☕️ are also available in the café.

One of Madeira's iconic trails. It starts at Fonte do Bispo with trails mixing with dirt roads. There are sessions with a very steep slope. The landscapes are fantastic and the trail options in the area are countless.

On the crest of the western chain of Madeira there are several elevations. Pico Gordo is one of them, at around 1200m above sea level. This trail descends from regional road 10 and is quite rustic. As it is more isolated, it allows you to enjoy exclusive moments of contact with nature.
