Los Padres Open Space is located near the southern end of Moorpark Road. Spanning across 187 acres, this beautiful area features chaparral-covered hillsides, captivating oak woodlands, and a stunning stand of coast live oaks. Accessible via the Los Padres Trail (mostly single track)on the west side of Los Padres Drive, this area is frequented by deer, rabbits, California quail, California thrashers, and many other birds and animals. This is the eastern terminus and trailhead for the Pentachaeta trail. It is also one of the main access points for the Triunfo Canyon Park. The western terminus is at the main trailhead with a kiosk on Triunfo Canyon Road east of the southern terminus of Lindero Canyon Road. Here however there are no facilities only a small gravel pullout and street parking.
