The Old Tiburon Rail Trail is a scenic 2.6-mile path along the San Francisco Bay, with breathtaking water views and Mt. Tamalpais. Starting at Blackie's Pasture, it winds past coastal mudflats full of wildlife before transitioning into an on-street bike lane leading to downtown Tiburon. It's a fantastic, smooth ride with historical markers, parks, and a ferry terminal at the trail's end, making it an ideal place to enjoy nature and local history for a day away from the big city.

A spectacular, safe cycle route across the bridge. Completely isolated from the cars.

The Tiburon Terminal is a ferry landing for the Golden Gate and Angel Island–Tiburon Ferry's providing a connection from Marin County across the San Francisco Bay. From here, you can catch a ferry to Angel Island, San Francisco, or take the China Basin Ferry to see a Giants game. Bikes are welcome on all vessels on a first-come, first-serve basis.

The Sausalito houseboat community is full of architectural gems and repurposed old working boats, and each is wonderfully unique. Bikes are not allowed on the dock, so you must park your bike to get a closer look; however, remember to be respectful when visiting, as these are residential homes, and you are close to someone's living space.

When you think of the iconic features of San Francisco, the Golden Gate Bridge is one of the first things that comes to mind. This impressive suspension bridge links the northern tip of the San Francisco Peninsula to Marin County, with fantastic views of the city, marina and Crissy Field. It is one of the most internationally recognized symbols of San Francisco, California, and the United States, putting it at the top of many cyclist's bucket lists. While crossing, you can gaze up at the towering beams above or look down into the deep waters of the San Francisco Strait below you as sailboats drift by in the mouth of the Bay. Traveling along the Bridge can be cold, windy, and foggy, even in the summer, so dress appropriately. At the south end, you can purchase a souvenir at the Golden Gate Bridge Pavilion and visit the cafΓ© next to the visitor center. Restrooms are at both the north and south ends, and cyclists have toll-free access to the Bridge's sidewalks 24 hours a day. A bike ride across this extraordinary Bridge is an adventure you don't want to miss!

There are, indeed, horses on this hill. Connector path between Mill Valley and Corte Madera, easier than Camino alto. The alto tunnel is still closed, learn more here: https://openaltotunnel.org/
