The paths vary considerably, sometimes bumpy over stones, with steep and deep ascents and descents, as well as black sand beaches. However, they are manageable for hiking. Hiking poles are recommended.

The path is very bumpy. If you fall, it's on sharp lava rocks. Definitely doable for a dog, but definitely not for a stroller. The 100 meters of ascent come "all at once." For our 75-year-old, it was just too much. :)

From here you can see the entire Malpais de Guimar all the way to the Atlantic Ocean and the towns north and south of it. The Montaña Grande volcano, which formed the landscape around 10,000 years ago, is behind you. Hold on to your cap - it was very stormy here when we were there.
