The bridleway along the northern edge of Appleton Lower Common is narrow and often muddy. Keep your eyes peeled across the fields, and particularly at the edges of the forest for wild creatures here, as deer make this woodland their home along with many others.
At either end of the woodland, you can join tracks that run parallel to the River Thames, Appleton to the east and south-west down to Netherton village.
