Laughing Loon Lake is the only lake on the North Coast Trail and it's considered a great place to take a well-earned break. The area around the lake consists of flat boardwalk sections which is a nice contrast to the steep and muddy terrain that make up most of the inland sections. While not suitable for swimming the picturesque lake offers hikers a place to enjoy a quiet moment before continuing onward.
