Weseritz Castle was originally a Gothic fortress and was converted into a palace in the 16th century. It belonged to the Löwensteins until 1863. Later, it served as a court and prison. Opening hours are January to June and September to December, Saturdays and Sundays from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. (with a guide) and lasts 45 minutes. The castle chapel houses the Christmas crib – weighing 3.5 tons, it is the largest glass sculpture in the world.
