I left the bike at the crossroads between paths 701 (the Altomontana) and 724 (which leads to the Timparossa bivouac) and walked about a hundred meters following the signs for the Lamponi cave.
The cave has a large opening at the entrance and is certainly one of the most beautiful lava flow caves on Etna because due to some collapses of the vault, the sun's rays penetrate inside generating plays of light and shadows. In the same sites some ferns and plants, stimulated by the light, grew inside the cave.
Be very careful!
