Hunon and his wife Huna (Ste-Hune) would have lived in the 12th century. This Saint was very humble and charitable, she went down to the fountain to wash the linen of the sick. Legend has it that one year when the winegrowers of Hunawihr had not managed to harvest a harvest due to the weather, Sainte-Hune performed a miracle by making the wine flow from the fountain which still bears its name today. .
