Step onto the Rogue Gorge Trail and immerse yourself in a landscape where ancient forests meet the raw power of the Rogue River. You'll wander through towering Douglas-fir and pine trees, past moss-covered rocks, and along sections of paved path that lead to the spectacular Rogue Gorge. Here, the river has carved a narrow chasm through basalt lava, creating unique geological formations and dramatic viewpoints.

This easy hiking route covers 3.8 miles (6.1 km) with a gentle 247 feet (75 metres) of elevation gain, typically taking about 1 hour and 37 minutes. The trail is highly accessible, with paved sections suitable for strollers and those with limited mobility, and parking is available at the trailhead. It's a fantastic option for a family-friendly outing, and leashed dogs are welcome to join the adventure.

The Rogue Gorge Trail stands out for its incredible geological features, including the main gorge and the nearby Natural Bridge where the river disappears underground. Interpretive signs along the path explain the area's unique volcanic history and biology, offering insights into how the river sculpted this dramatic landscape. It's a perfect choice for experiencing Southern Oregon's natural beauty with minimal effort.
