The Liverpool Drafthorse memorial was unveiled on 1 May 2010 on the quayside in front of the Museum of Liverpool. For more than 250 years, horses were used to haul goods to and from Liverpool's docks and businesses. In its heyday, more than 20,000 horses worked the streets of Liverpool, more than any other city outside of London.
