The Boelwerf crane is Protected Heritage.
The tower crane was built in 1957 by the metal company Nobels-Peelman, commissioned by the shipping company Cockerill Yards. After the bankruptcy of the shipping company, the tower crane came to Temse, where it still watches over the Scheldt.
