Beguinage church from circa 1665, dedicated to the Holy Cross and located in the western part of the beguinage; the first beguinage church was located near the Kruisberg. Non-oriented, detached church with Baroque and Gothic style features, built between 1662 and 1667 by order of Anna Bax, mistress of the beguinage, laying of the first stone on 25/6/1662, on the feast day of Saint Begga in 1666, the new, church not yet paved. Transformed into a Temple of Reason during the French Revolution. Restoration works carried out in 1978 and following under the direction of architect E. Wauters.

Between 1662 and 1667, the Holy Cross Church or Beguinage Church was built by order of Anna Bax. She was the mistress of the beguinage. The church is dedicated to the Holy Cross and built with baroque and gothic style features. During the French Revolution it was transformed into a Temple of Reason. Restoration works were carried out in 1978. UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1998.
