A city in the Lille Métropole urban community, Lambersart is located in Hauts-de-France, in the Nord department. The town, bordered by the Deûle and the Bois de Boulogne, is not far from Lille, Lomme and Saint-André-lez-Lille.
Known since the beginning of the 12th century, the town of Lambersart was once a simple agricultural village located on the banks of the Weppes. However, it was not until the 19th century that it experienced rapid development, in the shadow of Lille. Long an industrial city, the town has preserved several vestiges of this economic past through textile factories and laundries.
