    Hiking

Connecting the cobbled streets of the Old City to the modern bars, restaurants, museums and attractions around Millenium Square, Pero's Bridge is an important link in the city. This pedestrian crossing also remembers Bristol's links to the Slave Trade and is named in honour of Pero Jones, an enslaved African who lived in Bristol.

The crossing is a trendy place for lovers to display their affection by fixing padlocks in the railings. This practice has caused controversy, as many feel this doesn't respect Pero Jones' memory.
