Pomarico, village at 459 m. s.l.m. in the province of Matera, from the east side it has two sections of steep ascent, the first is about 3 km long with an average gradient of 6% and has a series of hairpin bends; the second part, from the south, just below the town is about 2.5 km long with an average gradient of 8.4%; in the town then instead of turning right going straight to the historic center, you face another double-digit final ramp

A nice climb with small double-digit sections: there is a first section with sweeter hairpin bends, already visible before going up, after which the second section is tackled with more challenging average slopes and some small double-digit sections. A nice prelude to the very pretty country.
