The Buñol Water Route is one of those hidden gems near Valencia that will take your breath away. This challenging hiking trail immerses you in a spectacular river landscape, featuring waterfalls like Cueva del Turche, where you can walk behind the water, and crystal-clear natural pools such as Charco del Mañán. Along its 4.9 miles (7.9 km), with an elevation gain of 685 feet (209 metres) and a duration of approximately 2 hours and 21 minutes, the terrain is varied, with rocky and steep sections that require good balance and, at times, the use of your hands.
To plan your visit, note that access to Buñol is easy from Valencia, either by car or train. It is essential to wear hiking footwear with good grip, as some sections can be slippery, especially near the waterfalls and river. If you're looking for a day of adventure and the chance to take a dip in nature, this route is perfect, but be prepared for a considerable effort.
