Hampshire Downs sheep like this grazed the hillside for centuries. They are still important today in helping to manage the beautiful chalk downland-a landscape now enjoyed as part of the South Downs National Park. Although wool is no longer such an important product as it was in the past, the sheep still provide delicious local meat.
