364 days of the year, Helwith Bridge is just a pub near the bridge, but 1 day a year it is the starting point of the infamous Three Peaks Cyclo-Cross. Perfect stop, every day of the year.

    Hiking

On the banks of the River Ribble and with Ingleborough to the north west and Pen-y-ghent to the north east, Helwith Bridge Inn is a superbly located hostelry. The pub is perfectly positioned as a base for exploring Yorkshire's most iconic summits and is the official start point for the Yorkshire Three Peaks cycle race (though hikers looking to complete the challenge traditionally start in Horton-in-Ribblesdale).

As well as liquid refreshment, this 19th-century inn also serves good food and has space for camping and a bunk room that sleeps four.

Not so good since it changed hands I'm afraid. Gone is the fresh veg for frozen peas, gone is the quality and value for money.
