The old town of Bouillon is located within a loop of the Semois in southern Belgium just a stone's throw from the French border. The charming town invites you to stroll and feast along the riverbank. Over the narrow streets of the village towers the mighty castle that characterizes the image of Bouillon. It dates back to the 11th century and was converted into a fortress in the 17th century according to the plans of the famous master builder Vaubun. It served to control the north-south route from Reims via Liege to Aachen.
