The castle ruins of Salernes are situated on a hill directly above the old town center. A castle already existed here in the 11th century; the structure visible today essentially dates back to the Middle Ages and was later expanded. In 1676, the castle was severely damaged by a fire and was subsequently not fully rebuilt. What remains are primarily wall remnants and two round towers. From the ruins, you have a very beautiful view over the rooftops of Salernes and the valley of the Bresque.

The La Muie natural pool is located directly on the Bresque river on the edge of Salernes. The river forms a beautiful natural swimming pool here with clear water in a green setting. Swimming is allowed free of charge, but there is no lifeguard on duty.

Wonderful to look at in the sunlight. Not pompous, but rather practical and imposing. Unfortunately, not open to the public.
