The path is partially gone and you can only walk over stones. The wooden beams are lying around everywhere.

At the end of the road there is a wooden bridge for hikers over the Parseierbach. This is also where the valley station of the cable car to the Memminger Hut is located. For a fee (5 €) you can have your backpack transported to the Memminger Hut. You simply put your backpack in the tub of the cable car. Behind the wooden bridge the path leads relatively steeply up the western slope of the Seekogel. Part of the path is very comfortable and safe in the form of wooden steps.

There is also a telephone at the valley station that takes you up to the hut, as there is no cell phone reception in the valley. Ideally, your backpack will already be at the top when you arrive on foot. Behind the wooden bridge, the path leads relatively steeply up the western slope of the Seekogel. Part of the path is laid out in the form of wooden steps, making it very comfortable and safe.

The climb is relatively steep on the western slope of the Seekogel. Part of the path is very comfortable and safe in the form of wooden steps. In the upper part, the path leads below very beautiful waterfalls in a small gorge to the high plateau of the Memminger Hut. Below the waterfalls, many ibexes could be seen in the immediate vicinity of the hiking trail. An impressive experience.

Yes, you are welcomed here with schnapps every day. It's really hard to refuse, with such nice people 😃. If you want to stay sober, it's best not to leave the property and ignore the drinks menu 😂. Funny drink selection 😆😵💫🤣. Sleeping camp was also quite okay 👍.

Given the high alpine terrain and significant elevation, the best time for mountaineering in Grins is typically during the warmer months, from late spring to early autumn (June to September). This period offers more stable weather conditions and less snow, making high mountain passes accessible.
Due to the challenging nature of the routes, it's essential to be well-prepared. For difficult routes, consider a helmet and via ferrata equipment if applicable.
While some routes are more popular, exploring the less frequented trails can offer a more solitary experience. Consider routes that start from less central points or those with higher difficulty ratings, as these tend to attract fewer people. The Memminger Hut – View from Memminger Hut loop from Memminger Hütte, though short, offers a challenging ascent from a mountain hut, potentially providing a quieter experience.
