A viewpoint in the mountains, often used as a starting point or intermediate stop for hikes in the region. A hike from the village to the viewpoint takes about 15-20 minutes. The path leads through the typical hilly landscape of the island with olive groves and rock formations. Near Kólla, several hiking trails branch off, leading deeper into the mountain region or to remote chapels.

The Megálo Vounó (the "Great Mountain") is a striking hill area in the south of the island, which is particularly characteristic of the village of Lithakia. The Megalo Vouno towers over the village of Lithakia on the southeast coast. It forms the backdrop for this place, which is one of the oldest villages on the island. It reaches a height of about 582 meters. It is therefore among the higher elevations on the island, after peaks such as Voyni (756 m). The slopes are characterized by dense pine forests and extensive olive groves.

Cape Katastari (Greek: Ákra Katastári) is a prominent headland on the northeast coast. It is located directly by the village of Katastari, the largest village on the island by area. The village itself lies about 2 km inland at the foot of the Vrachionas Mountains. It is known for its traditional architecture and the hospitality of its inhabitants. Part of the village (the "small village") lies higher up on the mountain and shows ruins left behind after the earthquake of 1953. Every year on August 15th, a large festival is held in honor of the Assumption of Mary with music, dance, and traditional food.

The wooden bridge to Cameo Island connects the port of Agios Sostis with the small, private island of Cameo, also known as the "Wedding Island". The bridge is located in the bay of Laganas, about an 8-10 minute walk along the beach from Laganas or directly at the port of Agios Sostis. Crossing the bridge is often free, but there is usually a fee of approx. €5 to enter the island. The price often includes a personalized souvenir, such as a photo keychain. The island is famous for its photogenic backdrop with white cloths blowing in the wind over a small beach. It is also a popular place for weddings. Visitors can swim, snorkel (water shoes recommended due to the stones), or enjoy the view from the bar. With a bit of luck, loggerhead sea turtles can be spotted in the surrounding waters.

A beautiful little island that can be reached via a wooden bridge (as of August 2024). If you then want to enter the island, you pay 5 EUR per person. The "entrance fee" also includes a souvenir photo, which you can take with you in the form of a keychain when you leave the island. If you want a larger photo, you have to pay another 12 EUR. Unfortunately, the beach on the island was closed during our visit due to a wedding, but the kiosk was open. Ultimately, a small island with some beautiful photo opportunities and a tourist "must-see" on the island. Whether that is worth 5 EUR to someone is up to them to decide.
