The park was laid out at the same time as the castle was built, in the English landscape style. Plant species that occur in the public park, which covers 4 hectares, are: snakeweed, creeping bugleweed, crow garlic, wood anemone, wild garlic, yellow dead-nettle, large witchweed, small periwinkle, musk herb, giant fescue, shade grass, celandine and white clover sorrel. On a remnant of old forest soil, golden buttercup, slender sedge, wood ash, wood millet grass and common Solomon's seal still grow. Apart from these, there are a number of other tree species to be found.

Lint was a hamlet of Kontich until 1870 and did not have its own parish church until 1823. After a request to the Council of Brabant, it received its own chapel in 1770, where an assistant pastor from Kontich served. On 18 August 1823, this chapel was elevated to parish church. Between 1842 and 1843, the chapel was expanded to the current church building designed by Ferdinand Berckmans. However, the building did not yet have a tower and in 1847 a front facade with a tower was added to the design by Paul Stoop. In 1950 and 1951, new stained glass windows were installed. These came from the Sint-Laurentiuskerk in Antwerp, which was demolished.
