Especially on the climb up to Ladis, you have a fantastic view of the restored Laudeck (or Laudegg) castle ruins. First documented in 1232, the castle is now privately owned. However, it can still be visited as part of a guided tour; you can find information about these tours on the Serfaus-Fiss-Ladis website: https://www.serfaus-fiss-ladis.at/de/region-and-travel-information/restaurants-shops/laudeck-castle_infra_34677.

The descent is legendary fast and sparsely frequented. The torture of climbing up is worth it.

Anyone who wants to see the Timmelsjoch must fly high like an eagle and be able to see just as well.

(October 7th to presumably December 19th): Reschenpass is closed to car traffic and diverted via Norberthöhe. The latter is therefore closed to bicycle traffic! The detour via Altfinstermünz is relatively rough but firm gravel. With 32mm slicks and a 1:1 gear ratio, it was still manageable.
