The refuge closed in the autumn of 2023 because the Municipality of Elva decided to renovate it with PNRR funds. The old managers left and in the summer of 2026 the Municipality issued a tender for new managers. It will probably reopen soon.

Parish church of Stroppo, located in the hamlet of Paschero (capital and municipal seat). Classic structure of these valleys, with a painted facade (the fresco above the portal is very beautiful). The bell tower is noteworthy. Around it, the hamlet, very picturesque. The Town Hall and the nearby covered loggia are noteworthy.

Millennial church, perched above the hamlet of Stroppo Capoluogo. The position is spectacular, fairytale-like (in fact the church has also appeared in some films). The structure retains the simplicity of the Middle Ages.

At the crossroads between the provincial road of the Maira valley and the road to the Esischie pass, there is a beautiful fountain with drinking water, particularly useful for those climbing to Esischie (those continuing to Acceglio have many other supply points available). The surrounding panorama is beautiful. Do not overlook the nearby osteria. Other points of interest in the vicinity: the chapel of San Bartolomeo, a little upstream on the road to the Esischie pass, and the structures of the hydroelectric power plant, a splendid example of industrial architecture from times gone by.

Beautiful village that the provincial road completely bypasses, but which is worth entering for a more in-depth visit. Of particular interest: the small square with the chapel and the old oven (still functioning and in use), the wash fountain, and a beautiful fresco of Saint Joseph with the Child Jesus on the facade of a house.
