The church of Formegan, first dedicated to Santa Maria Nascente and today to San Rocco, most likely dates back to the 12th century. The last restoration works date back to a few years ago and concern the restoration of the internal structure, with the discovery of medieval frescoes including a beautiful "Last Supper".

The wheels of the Mulino di Santa Libera, in Salzàn di Santa Giustina, still turn, moved by the waters of the canal fed by the Vesès stream. The mill, already active in 1526, was capable of grinding twelve quintals of wheat and the same number of corn. The building housed the milling equipment on the ground floor and the granary on the upper floor. The Ignan-Salzan (or Molino) canal, which runs alongside the cycle path up to the footbridge over the Vesès, is the only one still used. In the past there were three and up to twenty-four water wheels operated along the Veses, driving hammers, grinding wheels, mills, sawmills and cloth idlers. The thematic path “Via Dell’Acqua” retraces this history from the foot of Mount Pizzocco to the ancient mill of Santa Libera.

The Community of S. Giustina developed by exploiting the waters of the Veses Torrent, which originates from the Dolomite massif of m. Pizzoc. The restored mill of S.Libera, by will of the municipality, located at the end of the Ignan - Salzan canal, is somewhat of a symbol of this. https://www.comune.santagiustina.bl.it/Vivere-Santa-Giustina/Il-Territorio/Mulino-di-Santa-Libera

Brand new cycle and pedestrian walkway over the Veses stream, in the municipality of Santa Giustina. Indispensable because first you had to ford the stream, which is easy to do in summer, even without getting wet, but impossible in rainy and cold seasons.

In the Salzan hamlet of Santa Libera, this mill was artfully recovered to tell the story of traditional activities, always linked to the territory of Santa Giustina and the waters of the Veses stream.
