Wonderful trail within the aquatic park following the Aquatic Park lagoon. Highly recommend visiting at sunset for a peaceful waterside stroll.

Great overlooks across the bay from the trail that runs around both sides of the jetty that forms and protects the marina.

Wooden fishing pier at the estimated location of Jacob's landing, and later an early industrial pumphouse, along the pre-contact natural shoreline. The lagoon was formed by landfill for the construction of the I-80 freeway covering the destroyed wetlands.

From this trailhead a car-free park trail begins and follows the east shore of the long Aquatic Park lagoon. Watch out for flying objects from the disc golf meadows, which is probably more an issue than the mostly well managed homeless encampment occupying the park south of the trailhead.

/ The City of Emeryville will be constructing a new South Bayfront Bridge over Union Pacific Railroad tracks for pedestrians and bicyclists and a new linear park, Horton Landing Park between January 7, 2020 and around October 2021. The South Bayfront Bridge will connect Ohlone Way and the Bay Street area with Horton Street across the tracks. The bridge will span 227 feet and pass over Union Pacific Railroad right-of-way. The new Horton Landing Park will be built on the east side of the train tracks. It will be a new addition to the Emeryville Greenway. Pathways in the park will connect the bridge to adjacent streets at Horton just south of 53rd St. and near Stanford Ave. The greenway within Horton Landing Park will connect to a future greenway that extends southward to Sherwin near Halleck St.
