The Tonawanda Rails-to-Trails path is a biking and walking path that is paved and is 3.9 miles long. This trail is made up of two parts; the first part is above a former railroad in the Town of Tonawanda and the other in the City of Tonawanda. This old railroad corridor was formerly in use for both freight trails and passenger trains with two track systems in the 1880's.

There is a paved trail that follows along the banks of Hoyt Lake. The path is wide and is a great spot for a run. There are other paths and greenways that connect to this trail, and there are numerous trail signs and trail maps indicating how to connect the network of paths.

The Historical Society Museum is recognized as the oldest building, dating back to 1847 in town. The Historical Society Museum was build in 1849. It started as a German evangelical church, serving the areas rural people until 1967 when it changed into a museum. The cemetery also dates back to 1847 and was acquired by the Town of Tonawanda in nineteen seventies, and opened as a museum.
