One old brick factory still stands in the Koppenwaard region. In 2012, the factory site was purchased by Natuurmonumenten (Dutch Society for Nature Conservation). Most of the factory has already been demolished. However, demolition debris and dilapidated flame kilns remain on the site. There is also an old house and an orchard. The site is currently inaccessible for safety reasons. (https://www.natuurmonumenten.nl/natuurgebieden/koppenwaard)
