There are many cairns between Solheim and Björnfjell. On your hike, you will repeatedly see the foundations of old houses and relics from wartime. The Germans used this area as a base camp for their activities. In 1903, King Oscar II opened the railway line. Twenty-five years later, this memorial stone was erected, and there is a supply road that follows the railway line towards Rombaksbotn and leads in the other direction to the upper station of the Swedish cable car.
