The Town Hall of Murcia (Murcia Region, Spain) is a 19th-century neoclassical building located in La Glorieta Square, the seat of the city's municipal institution. It consists of an annex, located in Plaza Belluga, designed by Rafael Moneo. The current Town Hall building or Council House stands on the site where the traditional seat of the Murcia City Council has been since the Middle Ages. During the Islamic rule, the Daraxarife or Princely Palace was built here, which belonged to the city's Alcázar Mayor. After the conquest of Murcia, Alfonso X the Wise donated this palace to the council in 1267. Since then, it has been the place where municipal judges or magistrates have carried out their duties. Even though the summit of Espuña is a military restricted area and you can't plan the climb in Komoot, you can (and should) drive almost all the way up to the summit - it's worth it. In winter it can get very cold - it's the north side without any sun!
