Circular route from Turruñuelos Park, Córdoba, passing through: - Torrehoria Viewpoint (19.5 km) - Torre del Beato (23.1 km) - Torre de las Siete Esquinas (24.5 km) - Bridge over the canal (29.5 km) The route begins along the Guadalmellato Canal, ascends through La Canchuela, Llanos de los Mesoneros, passes the El Cruce gas station, enters the "Fangor" forest, Torrehoria, Camino del Nuo Bajo, Torre del Beato, Torre de las Siete Esquinas, and from there descends to reach the start of the Trassierra Trail. Except for the descent from Siete Esquinas, the route, exceptionally beautiful given the recent rainfall in the mountains with runoff everywhere, follows paths without technical difficulty, making it even more appealing. It's a challenging distance but offers stunning views of the surrounding area and the city and its environs from the highest points.

The Jardines de la Merced in Córdoba, also called "Columbus Gardens", is a historic public park located near the old Convent of the Merced Calzada, which now serves as the administrative building of the provincial government. The gardens owe their alternate name to a monument of Christopher Columbus that is located in the park. This monument honors Columbus' visit to Córdoba, where he sought support for his voyages.

The gardens were created in the 19th century on the site of a former monastery, the Convento de la Victoria, from which they take their name. The aim was to create a public space that would serve as a place of recreation for citizens. Over time, the gardens have been redesigned several times to adapt them to the growing city and the needs of the population. Today, the Jardines de la Victoria combine traditional elements with modern design elements. A striking building in the gardens is the Pavilion of Córdoba - Kiosko de la Música, which was originally used for cultural events such as concerts and exhibitions. In addition to their function as a recreational space, the gardens have been the setting for numerous cultural and social events. The gardens combine extensive lawns, palm trees, cypresses, and flowerbeds that reflect the Mediterranean climate. Shady paths, water fountains, and benches invite you to linger. An ideal place for a relaxing rest.
