Strangely stumbled across this place as was driving to another location. So glad I turned off road and followed the sign to it.

A basic campsite open all year round, just outside of Stockbridge. It has a decent kitchen area inside a purpose built shed with local maps and information. The compost toilets and outdoor showers are of a good standard. The only negative is that it's right next to a main road, so can get noisy. There's a good footpath that takes you into Stockbridge avoiding the main road.

This place is steeped in history. Built 2500 years ago and occupied for nearly 500 years. With the ramparts still very visible. Some lovely views form the top.
