I went out days after the rain, up there the water was still flowing along the path and the mud was wasted, but I also passed through there with the dry and compact ground, certainly a beautiful experience. To reach Onferno is not easy, you have to take the path that leads to the cemetery of Pian di Castello, up there there are cultivated lands and the path seems to vanish, but there are reference points: weather vanes, a small cell of the Madonna, a gate. If you have found everything, come down you are on the right road.

Smooth road that leads to San Donato

Trail that starts just west from the Garibaldi memorial stone at Mt. Tassona and descends to the village of Montetassi. I think it is inadvisable to go there after the rains.

Unpaved road that descends from the slopes of Monte Grimano Terme towards the Conca provincial road. Downhill is very doable, from the halfway point the route becomes more technical but still passable. Uphill the slopes are notable and the uneven surface in the lower part doesn't help.

Formerly called Mons Germanus, Monte Grimano Terme is located on a spur overlooking the Conca valley and, thanks to its 600 meters of altitude, offers pure air, a sweet and temperate climate and the relaxing atmosphere of the hilly landscapes. An ancient medieval castle, it played an important role in the disputes between the Montefeltro of Urbino, for whom it represented a defensive stronghold, and the Malatesta of Rimini.
