Within the present-day Danish realm, we know of five ring castles from the time of Harald Bluetooth. At Fyrkat, an earthwork marks the site of the castle, and right next to it is a reconstructed longhouse. The Viking farm at Fyrkat consists of nine reconstructed houses from a manor house from the time of Harald Bluetooth. On selected days in spring and summer, there are lively workshops and activities here. https://nordjyskemuseer.dk/de/u/vikingemuseet-fyrkat-de/

Experience the Viking Age first hand at Fyrkat, one of Denmark's five ring castles. Fyrkat Castle was built in 980 under King Harald Bluetooth. None of the original ring castles still exist today, but at Fyrkat an earthen rampart marks the place where the ring castle surrounded the original 16 longhouses. The position of the houses is now marked with white stones. Just outside the castle, one of the longhouses has been reconstructed. In the immediate vicinity of Fyrkat Castle is the Viking settlement, which consists of nine reconstructed houses. Together, these form a manor house as we know it from Harald Bluetooth's time. Both houses and workshops, including the smithy, are built of oak and have clay-plastered walls and thatched roofs. During the summer, there are activities on selected days at the Viking settlement, where you will also find a visitor center, a museum shop and a mythological playground. Fyrkat is on the UNESCO list of intangible world heritage sites, along with the four other Danish ring castles – Aggersborg, Borgring, Nonnebakken and Trelleborg. https://nordjyskemuseer.dk/de/u/vikingemuseet-fyrkat-de/

The Yacht Museum is located in one of the picturesque old warehouses at Hobro harbor. The museum's specialty is sailing in the broadest sense, and the exhibitions, which span several floors, show everything from old barges and outboard motors to kayaks and communication equipment. As a visitor, you can, among other things, view the Silvana cruiser, smell the tar and wood, and get an insight into daily life on board. https://nordjyskemuseer.dk/u/lystfartoejsmuseet/

Bies Bryghus in Hobro is a tribute to local brewing traditions, producing quality beers and offering a unique experience with beer tasting and restaurant catering. Centrally located in Hobro you will find the old Bies Brewery, where the two Bie brothers started producing mineral water and later beer in 1841. The brewery was the absolute pride of the city for 140 years and popular beer brands such as Hobbie and Fyrkat became popular across Denmark. In 1980 the first part of the Hobro era ended when the brewery closed. After several years without local beer, the brewery is brewing again. The brewery has moved into the old horse stable of the former brewery. Fyrkat, Torvekone, Væbner and Hobbie, these are the names of good beer, brewed with proud local traditions in the heart of Hobro. Here, at the end of the 19th century, the Bies brothers founded the Bies brewery, which is now run by a new small brewery with the same name. The original beer and soda brewery was closed in the 1980s, after which the brewery courtyard was converted into the “Kunstetagerne” art museum, among other things. Today, the Bies Brewery restaurant is located in the courtyard, where beer is also served. The brewery often expands its offering. You have many good beers to choose from, for example a Hobro IK Superliga beer. https://www.visithimmerland.de/himmerland/reiseplanung/bies-brauhus-bies-bryghus-gdk649445
