The 1.7-kilometer-long motorway bridge offers a magnificent view of the Vejlefjord, the town center, and the striking wave-shaped buildings known as "Bølgen." A stop at the viewpoints in Bredballe is particularly worthwhile to admire the architecture and the vastness of the fjord. It's a great spot for photos and a perfect place for a short break during an extended bike ride or hike along the east coast of Jutland.

The museum is no longer free (only for children). We paid 120 DKK per adult, which was more than worth it. Nice staff, a wonderfully animated Viking exhibition with many details and elaborately designed. From the roof terrace, you can once again view the place (burial mounds and former Viking fortress)! Simply great!

Gauerslund Church is located high up, roughly in the middle of Gauerslund municipality. The church's choir and part of the nave were built in the 12th century in Romanesque style from ashlars, making it one of the country's very old churches. Over time, it has been rebuilt and remodeled several times. The church was at some point extended westward by 9.5 meters and the burial chapel, porch and tower were added. The most recent addition is the tower, which was built in 1918 when the old tower had cracks in the same place and was therefore demolished.
